Madison Square Garden right now is pure insanity—absolute chaos. It sounds like somebody lit fireworks while 20,000 Knicks fans scream “BING BONG” directly into Cleveland’s soul. I’ve never seen New Yorkers this happy.

The Knicks are up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals, and the Cavaliers are on their way home knowing they are down 0-2.

And the reason? JOSH HART. YESJOSH HART.

The Cavaliers' gameplan was basically, “Anybody but Brunson can beat us.” They left this man so open all night that I thought Cleveland was running a social distancing defense. Hart was getting shots so wide open that he probably had enough time to order halal food before releasing the jumper.

Early on, it worked. Hart was missing everything. He looked frustrated: biting his jersey, slamming the basketball, and looking like a frustrated dad trying to do too much at LA Fitness.

Cleveland was probably on the bench thinking, “Yeah, keep shooting buddy.” But that was a BIG mistake because in the third quarter, Josh Hart turned into a possessed human flamethrower from Queens.

It's up—three.

It's up again—another one.

It's up again—BANG.

Madison Square Garden just kept exploding.

When the Knicks went on an 18-0 run, Cleveland started looking completely broken. Not tired—BROKEN, as if somebody unplugged the controller during a video game.

Now let’s talk about Jalen Brunson for a second because this man is literally running New York like a mob boss right now.

The Cavs blitzed him all night. Doubled him, trapped him, threw every person at him besides a parking attendant, and Brunson just sat there smiling, throwing dimes everywhere. He had FOURTEEN assists—FOURTEEN. In other words, Brunson was out there playing chess while Cleveland was eating crayons and trying to figure out rotations.

That’s what makes this Knicks team scary: Brunson doesn’t even have to score 40 anymore. That’s terrifying because now it’s, “Oh you wanna double Brunson? Cool.”

Here comes Josh Hart looking like Reggie Miller with anger issues.

Here comes KAT throwing lasers.

Here comes the Knicks' defense turning every possession into a hostage situation.

And defensively? The Knicks got Cleveland in HELL. Donovan Mitchell looked exhausted, Darius Garland looked trapped, and Max Strus and Sam Merrill combined for ONE made three-pointer—ONE.

Singlehandedly, Josh Hart outshot Cleveland’s “shooters.”

And Knicks fans? They are becoming unbearable again, and I absolutely love every second of it. You have fans outside MSG hugging strangers. People in orange and blue are climbing light poles. Older Knicks fans are crying like they just saw The Notebook. Dudes in Brooklyn are suddenly chanting “WE WANT OKC” like they already won four games.

Relax, there’s still basketball left, but man…this feels different.

For years Knicks fans have lived through pain: horrible contracts, bad draft picks, coaches yelling at everybody, point guards who couldn’t dribble, power forwards playing small forward, etc.

Now? Now the Knicks look like the biggest bullies in basketball.

Nine straight playoff wins.

TWO straight conference finals wins.

The Garden shaking like Godzilla stepped on Manhattan.

And Cleveland? They better find answers FAST because right now this series has the energy of somebody trying to stop a train with a pool noodle.

The funniest part? The Cavaliers created this monster themselves. They looked at Josh Hart and said, “Yeah…let him shoot." Now they are heading back home down 0-2 looking like a group project that forgot the assignment was already due.

New York smells blood, The Garden smells The Finals, and Knicks fans right now are two wins away from legally changing the Statue of Liberty into Jalen Brunson.

I’m from a small town in Long Island. Growing up I was very competitive and very into sports. I followed teams like the Yankees, Jets, Knicks and the Islanders. I always had a love for sports, and my whole life I had dreams to become a professional athlete. However, this was short lived due to a knee injury. After many years of trying to figure out of what I wanted to do with my career, I found my true passion for radio. After college, I took part in a mentorship at CBS Sports Radio where I also had the opportunity to help produce with my mentor, Dan Schwartzman, host of “Going Deep” on NBC Sports Radio.
